What is Forest School?
“Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.” (FSA 2013)
in Forest School we offer opportunities for children to play and learn from each other and the natural environment. the sessions are child led but we do offer activities and opportunities for risky play, such as: fire building, tool use, crafting, foraging, rope work, shelter building, bushcraft skills, games and lots of free play.
We offer regular Forest School sessions for children in Brigit’s Garden, Pollagh, Rosscahill Co Galway.
